Texas Roadhouse Style Garlic Butter Chicken Skillet

A comforting garlic butter chicken skillet with juicy chicken, a silky sauce, and smoky paprika flavor, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels, then season both sides lightly with additional salt and pepper, if desired.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for 5 to 6 minutes per side, until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.
  5. Add the chicken broth to the skillet and use a wooden spoon to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  6. Stir the prepared garlic butter mixture into the skillet, allowing it to melt and combine with the broth.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter sauce over each piece. Let it simmer for a minute or two so the flavors meld and the sauce slightly thickens.
  8. Transfer to a serving platter and garnish with fresh chopped parsley. Serve hot.

Notes

For a handheld option, the saucy chicken works well inside warm tortillas.
