Quick and Easy Garlic Butter Chicken

A simple, satisfying weeknight meal featuring tender chicken in a rich garlic butter sauce.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add chicken breasts and cook for 5 to 6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Remove chicken and set aside.
  5. Lower heat to medium, add butter and melt gently.
  6. Add minced garlic and Italian seasoning, sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  7. Return chicken to skillet and spoon garlic butter sauce over the top.
  8. Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes, garnish with parsley if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

For best results, bring chicken to room temperature before cooking and avoid overcrowding the skillet.
