Italian Chocolate Salami

A delightful no-bake dessert that combines the crunch of cookies with rich dark chocolate and nuts, perfect for any festive occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 Biscoff cookies or Vanilla Wafers
  • ¾ cup toasted nuts (walnuts, pistachios, or hazelnuts)
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • ⅓ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Frangelico, Amaretto, Kahlua, or other liqueur (optional)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar for coating

Instructions

  1. Break the cookies into roughly ½-inch pieces and place them in a mixing bowl. Add in the toasted nuts of your choice and gently mix them together.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate chips and heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring after each until smooth.
  3. Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the cookie and nut mixture. Use a spatula to stir until well combined.
  4. Lay out a piece of plastic wrap on a flat surface. Transfer the chocolate mixture onto the wrap and shape it into a log.
  5. Chill the wrapped salami in the refrigerator for at least 120 minutes until firm.
  6. Remove the salami from the plastic wrap and roll gently in powdered sugar.
  7. Slice the chocolate salami into pieces using a sharp knife. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

Ensure chocolate is not overheated while melting. For a twist, try different nuts or a combination of chocolates.
