Cinnamon Sugar Pecans

Crunchy candied pecans coated in cinnamon sugar, perfect for snacking or as gifts.

  • 6 cups pecan halves, unsalted
  • 2 egg whites, at room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (149°C). Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper and lightly grease with nonstick spray.
  2. Beat the egg whites and water on medium-high speed until foamy, about 2 minutes.
  3. Add granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt to the egg whites. Gently fold until combined.
  4. Stir in the pecans to coat them evenly with the mixture.
  5. Spread the coated pecans in a single layer on the baking sheets.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes for even cooking.
  7. Rotate the baking sheets halfway through baking for even roasting.
  8. Cool completely on the baking sheets before storing.

Notes

Store cooled pecans in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks. They also freeze well for up to 3 months.
