Cheesy Pizza Ravioli Bake

A comforting dish that combines the best flavors of pizza and pasta with tender cheese ravioli, savory marinara sauce, Italian sausage, and crispy bacon.

  • 450 grams Italian sausage
  • 700 milliliters marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 yellow onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 200 grams shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 65 grams chopped bacon
  • Pepperoni slices, as desired
  • 710 grams frozen cheese ravioli

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
  2. Prepare the onion and chop the bacon if it is not pre-chopped.
  3. Sauté onion in a large skillet with olive oil over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes until translucent.
  4. Brown the Italian sausage, breaking it up with a spoon until browned. Drain excess grease if necessary.
  5. Season the mixture with Italian seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, and pepper. Pour in marinara sauce, adding bacon and pepperoni. Mix to combine.
  6. Add the frozen cheese ravioli, gently stirring until evenly coated.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a large baking dish, topping with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  8. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until melted and bubbling.
  9. Broil for 2 to 3 minutes until golden and crispy.
  10. Cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

For extra kick, add crushed red pepper flakes to your sauce. Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen unbaked for up to 3 months.
