Cheesy Pizza Pasta Bake

This Cheesy Pizza Pasta Bake combines ground beef, spicy sausage, and gooey mozzarella into a comforting casserole for the whole family.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb sausage
  • 1/2 yellow onion, diced
  • 3 cups rotini pasta, cooked al dente
  • 32 oz marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish so the pasta does not stick.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and sausage. Cook until browned, breaking the meat into small pieces with a spatula as it cooks.
  3. Drain any excess fat from the skillet into a safe container.
  4. Return the skillet to the stove and add the diced onion. Cook until softened and translucent, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the cooked rotini, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and the meat and onion mixture. Stir until everything is evenly coated.
  6. Transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish, spreading it into an even layer.
  7. Top with the shredded mozzarella cheese, covering the surface evenly.
  8. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden on top.
  9. Let the bake rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
