Tater Tot Hamburger Green Bean Casserole

A savory beef and green bean filling topped with melty cheddar and a crispy layer of Tater Tots, perfect for family dinners or potlucks.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can (15 oz) green beans, drained
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen Tater Tots
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and position a rack in the center.
  2. Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  3. Combine cooked beef, drained green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, and onion powder in a large bowl. Mix well.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly in a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the top, then arrange Tater Tots evenly on top.
  6. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until Tater Tots are golden brown and crispy.
  7. Allow to rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra melty cheese, stir half of the cheddar into the filling before baking.
