Slap Your Mama Pound Cake

A heartwarming and deliciously rich pound cake, perfect for any occasion and sure to evoke cherished memories.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Gradually mix in the milk and vanilla extract until combined.
  5. Slowly sift in the flour and salt, folding gently until just combined.
  6. Transfer the batter to your greased loaf or Bundt pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Slice and serve.
