Pineapple Dump Cake

A blissful dessert bursting with the sweet, juicy flavor of pineapples and the warmth of buttery cake, perfect for casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 20 ounces crushed pineapple, with juice
  • 20 ounces pineapple tidbits, with juice
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 15.25 ounces yellow cake mix
  • 3/4 cup cold salted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Lightly spray a 9×13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. Spread the crushed pineapple, including its juice, evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  4. Layer the pineapple tidbits on top of the crushed pineapple.
  5. Evenly sprinkle the light brown sugar over the pineapple layers.
  6. Carefully sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix over the brown sugar layer.
  7. Slice the cold butter into thin pats and distribute them across the entire top of the cake mix.
  8. Bake for approximately 40 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbling.
  9. Allow the cake to rest for 15-20 minutes before serving.

Notes

To enhance flavor, consider adding a splash of coconut or vanilla extract. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days. This cake can be frozen before baking.
