A cozy, comforting dinner that combines creamy cheese, garlic, and tender chicken with bowtie pasta, perfect for weeknight meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle), dry
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley or basil, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook until al dente, then drain, reserving half a cup of pasta water.
  2. Cook the chicken: In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add chicken pieces, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and sauté until golden and cooked through.
  3. Make the garlic butter: In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter and sauté garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Create the creamy sauce: Pour in heavy cream, bring to a simmer, and add mozzarella and Parmesan, stirring until melted.
  5. Combine: Toss pasta and cooked chicken in the sauce, mixing well until everything is coated and heated through.
  6. Garnish and serve: Sprinkle with chopped parsley or basil and serve immediately.
