Mozzarella Garlic Butter Chicken Bowties in Indulgent Cheesy Cream

Warm, fragrant, and utterly comforting, this dish combines tender chicken and creamy mozzarella cheese with bowtie pasta for a satisfying weeknight meal.

  • 2 cups bowtie pasta
  • 1 pound chicken breast, diced
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions, then drain and set aside. Reserve a splash of pasta cooking water.
  2. Add the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Do not let it brown.
  3. Add the diced chicken and cook until browned, turning occasionally. Cook until no longer pink inside.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 to 60 seconds.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and let it simmer for a few minutes until the cream thickens slightly.
  6. Add the shredded mozzarella, salt, and black pepper. Stir until the cheese is melted.
  7. Mix in the cooked bowtie pasta until evenly coated with the sauce.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving. Serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days. Reheat gently on low heat.
