  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Optional: Italian seasoning or herbs

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, instant yeast, and salt. Slowly add warm water and olive oil, stirring until a dough forms.
  2. Lightly flour your surface and knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle about ½ inch thick.
  5. Cut into strips or desired shapes for breadsticks and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Sprinkle garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and mozzarella cheese on top.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden and the cheese is bubbling.
  8. Let them cool for a few minutes and serve warm with marinara sauce or garlic butter for dipping.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. For freezing, wrap tightly in plastic wrap and foil.
