Giant Chocolate Chip Cookies

Decadent giant chocolate chip cookies with a soft, gooey center and a golden-brown exterior, perfect for any occasion.

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and baking soda. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until smooth and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Drop large balls of dough (1/4 cup each) onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Make sure your butter is softened to room temperature for easy mixing. Store leftover cookies in an airtight container for up to one week. Freeze unbaked dough balls for best results.
