Giant Chocolate Chip Cookies

Delightfully large chocolate chip cookies with chewy centers and crispy edges, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt until evenly blended.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Mix in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  5. Slowly add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Gently stir in the chocolate chips.
  7. Refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes.
  8. Using a large cookie scoop, place mounds of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 3 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden but the centers are soft.

Notes

Chilling the dough helps to develop flavors and achieve a thicker cookie shape. Incorporate nuts or different types of chocolate for variation.
