Garlic Butter Steak With Parmesan Cream Sauce

A delicious weeknight dish featuring tender steak smothered in a creamy garlic butter Parmesan sauce.

  • 1 lb steak (ribeye or sirloin)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat the steak dry and season with salt and pepper. Let sit for 15 minutes.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned.
  3. Remove the steak and let it rest for 5-10 minutes.
  4. In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter, add minced garlic, and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and whisk continuously; let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Slice the steak, drizzle with the sauce, and serve immediately.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with Greek yogurt and milk.
