Garlic Butter Chicken and Bowtie Pasta

A cozy weeknight favorite featuring tender chicken in a creamy garlic butter sauce with bowtie pasta.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz bowtie pasta
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside, reserving a splash of pasta water if needed.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until it foams.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Cook for 6 to 7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Remove the chicken and let it rest before slicing.
  6. In the same skillet, add the heavy cream, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.
  7. Stir in the Parmesan until melted and smooth.
  8. Add the cooked pasta and sliced chicken to the sauce, tossing to coat.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Pat the chicken dry before seasoning for better browning. Use reserved pasta water to adjust sauce consistency.
