Garlic Bread Grilled Cheese

The ultimate comfort food, combining the classic grilled cheese with the irresistible flavors of garlic bread.

Ingredients

  • Sourdough, ciabatta, or classic white bread
  • Cheddar, mozzarella, or Gruyère cheese
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 23 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix softened butter with minced garlic and Italian seasoning.
  2. Spread garlic butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. On the non-buttered side, layer cheese slices to cover well.
  4. Top with another slice of bread, buttered side facing up.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium heat for about 2 minutes.
  6. Cook the sandwich in the skillet, buttered side down, for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Carefully flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the other side is golden and the cheese is melted.
  8. If necessary, reduce heat and cover for an additional minute to melt cheese fully.
  9. Remove from the skillet, slice and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, control the cooking temperature and use high-quality bread.
