- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
- 1/2 cup chicken broth (low-sodium recommended)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 8 oz cream cheese, cubed
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 6–8 hamburger buns
- Optional toppings: sliced cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, red onion
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in slow cooker in a single layer.
- Sprinkle ranch seasoning evenly, pour chicken broth around chicken.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours.
- Shred chicken with forks or mixer inside the cooker.
- Add cream cheese, butter, sour cream, garlic powder, and pepper. Stir and cook on HIGH for 30 minutes.
- Toast buns if desired. Assemble sandwiches with chicken mixture and desired toppings.
Notes
For best results, add dairy during the last 30 minutes to prevent separation. Toast buns for better texture and reduced sogginess.
