Creamy Beef Taco Stuffed Shells

Hearty jumbo pasta shells filled with a savory beef taco mixture and a creamy cheese sauce, topped with melted cheese.

Ingredients

  • Jumbo pasta shells
  • Ground beef
  • Taco seasoning
  • Cream cheese
  • Shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • Sour cream
  • Optional toppings: Chopped cilantro, diced tomatoes, and avocado

Instructions

  1. Boil the Pasta: Cook the jumbo pasta shells in salted water until al dente, about 10-12 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Beef Filling: In a skillet, heat olive oil and cook ground beef until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add Taco Seasoning: Stir in taco seasoning and water, cooking for 2 minutes.
  4. Make it Creamy: Mix in cream cheese until melted and fully combined.
  5. Stuff the Shells: Spoon the beef mixture into cooked pasta shells and place in a greased baking dish.
  6. Add Cheese and Bake: Sprinkle shredded cheese on top, cover with foil, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Top with sour cream and optional toppings before serving.

Notes

Feel free to use ground turkey or plant-based protein for a lighter version. Consider adding black beans or corn to the filling for extra texture.
