Creamy Beef and Shells

A comforting family favorite that combines tender beef with large pasta shells enveloped in a creamy, savory sauce.

  • 2 cups large shell pasta
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil a pot of salted water and cook the shells according to the package directions until al dente (8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper over the cooked beef and sauté for an additional 2 minutes.
  4. Add beef broth to the skillet and bring to a gentle simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and stir well to create a velvety sauce.
  6. Fold in the cooked pasta shells, ensuring they are coated with the sauce.
  7. Allow to simmer on low heat for an additional 5 minutes.
  8. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

You can swap ground beef for turkey or add vegetables for extra nutrition. This dish stores well and can be reheated easily.
