The Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies: A Family Classic

  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips with a spatula.
  7. Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden and the centers look slightly underbaked.

Notes
