Chocolate Caramel Dump Cake

An easy and indulgent dessert featuring layers of rich chocolate cake and gooey caramel, topped with optional chocolate chips and served warm with ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • Whipped cream or ice cream (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix and the water until just combined.
  3. Pour the cake batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter and caramel sauce over the top of the batter.
  5. If using, sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let cool briefly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a delightful contrast.
