  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt, then gradually add to the creamed mixture.
  5. Fold in the vanilla extract and chopped pecans.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack, then dust with powdered sugar and serve.
