Bourbon Bacon Cheeseburger Meatballs

A fusion of cheeseburgers and savory bacon transformed into flavorful meatballs, perfect for gatherings or weeknight dinners.

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 4 slices Cooked Bacon, crumbled
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 Egg
  • ¼ cup Bourbon
  • ¼ cup Ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) if baking, or set your slow cooker to low.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, crumbled bacon, shredded cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, bourbon, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper, mixing until just combined.
  3. Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C), or cook in the slow cooker for about 4 hours on low.
  5. Check for doneness and serve slightly cooled with extra bourbon sauce and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken. Enjoy different flavors using various types of cheese.
