Black Forest Dump Cake

A decadent chocolate and cherry dessert that’s effortless to make, combining rich flavors for a delightful treat.

  • 2 cans (21 ounces each) cherry pie filling
  • 1 box (15.25 ounces) chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup hot fudge sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Pour the cherry pie filling into the greased baking pan.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix and melted butter; mix until just combined.
  5. Spoon the chocolate mixture over the cherry pie filling.
  6. Warm the hot fudge sauce until smooth and pour it over the chocolate layer.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-50 minutes, until the top is set.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving; optional to serve with ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

Be careful not to overbake; the cake should be set but remain slightly moist.
