Beefy Tortellini Bake

A comforting Beefy Tortellini Bake featuring seasoned ground beef, creamy cheeses, and pasta, topped with melted mozzarella.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 2 cups tortellini
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add the diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until onion is translucent, around 3-4 minutes.
  4. Pour in the marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. In a large bowl, combine cooked beef mixture with tortellini, ricotta, and half of the mozzarella.
  6. Transfer to a greased baking dish, spread evenly, and top with remaining mozzarella.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cheese is golden and bubbly.

Notes

Feel free to substitute ground beef with turkey or chicken for a lighter option. Can add vegetables for extra nutrition.
