This delightful Bang Bang Fried Rice is easy to prepare, bursting with flavors, and a family favorite that will impress everyone at the table.

  • 2 cups cooked jasmine rice
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, bell peppers)
  • 1 cup protein (chicken, shrimp, or tofu)
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sweet chili sauce
  • 12 tablespoons sriracha
  • Green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Gather all your ingredients, ensuring the rice is cold.
  2. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil.
  3. Add minced garlic and ginger to the hot oil, sauté for 30 seconds.
  4. Add the protein and cook until done (5-7 minutes for chicken, 2-3 minutes for shrimp).
  5. Add the mixed vegetables and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add the cold cooked rice, stir to combine, and heat through for 3-4 minutes.
  7. Reduce heat to low and pour in mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha. Mix thoroughly and adjust seasoning.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

For a spicier version, increase the amount of sriracha or add red pepper flakes. Use a non-stick skillet for best results.
