Easy Banana Split Dump Cake

A delightful dessert that captures the essence of summer with a medley of flavors from ripe bananas, chocolate, and creamy goodness, all in an easy-to-make dump cake.

  • 3 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 box of chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 1 ½ cups whole milk
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • Whipped cream, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with non-stick spray.
  3. Layer the sliced bananas across the bottom of the dish.
  4. Spread the chocolate pudding mix evenly over the bananas.
  5. Carefully sprinkle the yellow cake mix over the pudding layer without stirring.
  6. Drizzle the whole milk and melted butter over the cake mix.
  7. Finish by sprinkling walnuts or pecans and shredded coconut on top.
  8. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until golden brown and set.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm with whipped cream.

Notes

For a nut-free version, omit walnuts or pecans. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3 to 5 days.
