Banana Split Dump Cake

A delightful dessert that captures the flavors of a classic banana split in a warm and comforting cake.

  • 3 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • Whipped cream (for serving, optional)
  • Maraschino cherries (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Layer the sliced bananas evenly across the bottom of the dish.
  3. Spoon the drained crushed pineapple over the bananas.
  4. Spread the cherry pie filling evenly on top of the pineapple.
  5. Evenly sprinkle the yellow cake mix over the fruit layers.
  6. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, moistening as many dry spots as possible.
  7. Sprinkle the chopped walnuts and chocolate chips on top.
  8. Bake for about 40 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
